The Work

A mug begins as a lump of clay. A well-loved chair begins as a few pieces of wood. A visual identity begins in much the same way, with a story, a purpose, and a hope that it might become something people return to for years to come.

I believe that the best identities feel less like something invented and more like something discovered. I want the identities I create to feel like they existed long before I arrived.

The goal isn’t to create a logo that shouts for attention. It’s to create something that feels honest to the people behind it and recognizable to the people it serves.

That’s the kind of work I want to make.

Every object begins somewhere.

A person's hand is flattening a piece of paper with a metal clip. The paper has a logo and text from House Over Yonder. The table holds old books, a decorative vase, a wooden candlestick, a picture frame, and a round metal object. The background includes a window and part of a wall.

Modern Design for Old Souls

I work with small, owner-led businesses that care deeply about what they’re building—and want an identity that feels just as considered.

If that sounds like you, I’d love to hear about what you’re building.
